I'm not quite back from the dead but it may seem that way! Thought I'd better dust off the gear and what nicer way to do so than to go chasing sunrises. This was just to the left of said celestial body and the light was gorgeous...

Well worth the effort of getting up and taking it though... its stunning.. the colours are very subtle but so pretty (yes yes.. that was a girly thing to say wasn't it?).. I hope that you have enlarged and framed this one..

Wow Simon, I really like this shot. Such a different perspective to what I would have chosen with regards to the wall / wharf almost cutting the frame in half... That's a top shot mate!

Great shot Simon. The composition and colours are fantastic. I would like to see it a little lighter on the rhs to show a bit more detail.

Wow - thanks all. This was a crop and, in response tp surenj, I initially had some exposed rocks in the foreground. However, they just weren't 'right' and I found my eye naturally drawn to to wall and light beyond. Tough call to trim it so dramatically but it seems it was the right thing to do. I got a a large foamboard-mounted print of it (a'la RedBubble) and it's sitting beside me as I type..... just waiting for me to decide which room it should go in.

Craig - this resized and compressed version has turned out significantly darker than the original which shows more detail in the trees.
