Des,
Great recreations, even if the nappy is a bit distracting
BTW, Chryssine says that the Greeks think it's good luck to have a baby pee on you

#3 is the pick here, but I'm a little distracted by some white flecks in the black which I'd be cloning out. In fact I'd be tempted to clone out the other bits of the surroundings we can see in the dark areas too.

Fair call Peter - I noticed them after I exported as well.. My laptop screen doesn't let me see those bits unless I view them at a certain angle.
I have just tweaked the curves in all of these shots to basically crush anything darker than a certain value into black, which was the effect I wanted anyway. Should be better now

These are great, wish I had thought to do them when mine were small.
Edit: and re the nappy, I think they would be better shots without them. Understand the reasoning though

#1 and #3 for me, but I'd prefer them to be little bit brighter to bring up the life of a photo of a newborn.

Nice shots- a couple of niggles:
I like the face angle in #1 - eyes square on
and I like the hand position in #2 - curved fingers give softness, the straight fingers of #2 are more harsh,
and I think it better if you don't see the other hand on the left of the frame...
