Early morning misty shots. Not 100% happy with these, but want to post something to get feedback on. Any tips for best capturing fog?

No.2 actually taken by my better half (it's the better of the two...don't you think??).

I agree that #2 is the nicer of the two.
You may get better shots a little earlier and colder, brrrrr, when the fog is thicker.
You can also get some wild sun rise type shots with the fog in play.

Second one is better I think... if you are desperate one could 'add' the fog but hey it's much more fun to photograph as it happens..

I thought I would hazard an attempt to recreate what you saw instead of what the camera saw ;)

Let me know if you want me to take it down

Why you....Ekto Gamat! :x

Nah just joshin :) , PP on my images is fine. Nice work - I do like the result.

Actually the posted image is pretty accurate to how things looked. Whilst the fog was very thick that day, it had rapidly started lifting and had just about cleared away by the time we'd set up. But here in sunny Canberra, I'm sure I'll get plenty more opportunities for fog shots before the winter is through.
