A beautiful underwater garden inhabited by a large moray eel.

Steve,
For me this looks a little untidy and quite dark (but that could be my monitor as I lost calibration after upgrading drivers ). The brighter fish (a cardinal?) under the moray steals my attention.
Also note, for a "Coralscape" there aren't many corals in view. I can seem some Porites on the right side but everything else is sponges, tunicates and even crinoids.

Well it was part of a coral reef
Ill take that "untidy" comment on board though. I understand what you are getting at, it lacks a clear focal point. I really liked the eel though - if only I was brave enough to get a little closer with my fisheye I could have done it a bit better!

Steve,
I love the eel, too. There's nothing really to be scared about with morays, even big ones like the one you have here.

Nice photo and I agree that I won't be comfortable getting any closer! I was in Fiji recently and was tormented by the damned sea cucumbers...

Those big morays just love a scratch. keep your hand closed and give them a gentle rub under the chin. They will often come right out of their hole seeking more attention
