How often did you "bath" your glasses?
They do need steamed clean if you do stay near the saltwater alot

The PP makes the scene have an eerie light, love the effect of the highlights on the tocks... Good PP work!

I prefer your warmer and cropped interpretation of the picture with one slight exception. IMO the top is cropped a little too close to the evening star in the first version.
Bottom cropping and color warming work very nicely.

They are both interesting photos for different reasons.
If I had to pick one though, I'd pick the second one (the original) because of its unique eerie feeling.
