This is a shot that I took with my D40x with the 18-135mm DX lens. It has long been one of my favorites so I guess it is time to get a wider opinion of what people think. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The composition and flowers look great- good lighting and out of focus elements- but leaves me wanting to see the ladybug in more detail. Maybe a tighter square crop to show the bug a little better?

I agree with Robert that if the subject is the lady bug, it needs to be featured bigger and sharper to draw the viewers eye.

Lovely lighting,and the subject is great, but we need to see it taking up more of the frame.

Maybe I should crop it!!! A bigger bug would be really nice. I couldn't have gotten more magnification with that lens, it was already at 135mm and minimum focal distance.

I like the composition of the photo. It's the flowers and the bug.
Also, the bug appears to be a little out of focus?

I think it is, and I know why!

I was holding the camera in one hand and then holding the flower, so it would fall under the light of the sun with my other hand. Not a good combination!
