sb400 fired at 45deg, iso 400 to bring out the whites of the eyes. f1.4 used to get maximum blur and near zero dof. extension tube used. yes, i know the eyes arent sharp...they werent meant to be

Woah! This is quite a really scary image for me... I once read a book by Dean Koontz called Intensity. I can so see this image on the front cover!!.

I do like it though. The composition, the PP treatment and the selective focus work well. I'm left wondering if you would have produced a little more focus on the eyes how that would have impacted on the image? Even playing with a slight same diagonal band of focus across the eyes somewhere . Would be interesting to see Either way very creatively handled and a dramatic composition and treatment(particularly the corner shadow areas on either side of the nose under the brow), and well worth the effort Rooz

thanks for the comments. the eyes in focus didnt have the sinister, dark, scary look. it was quite a different feel which is why i went with this one.

This one just about gave me the shivers.. as someone else said it would be a perfect cover for a book!
