photomacrographythis is an image i did for a photomacrography folio assignment at uni
used the sigma 105 for this. (1:1) here is a 100% crop to give you a better idea of the detail, it gets a bit lost in the resized image. thanks for looking, any C&C as always much appreciated Nathan

Re: photomacrographyQuite repulsive, really!
Re: photomacrographyThis is fantastic and also gives major props for the Sigma 105 as well.
Clean Bokeh, Nice use of DOF to throw the rest of the moth OOF. The 100% crop really shows how much detail you end up getting in the final product. The hundreds of eyes are fantastic and quite sharp! Great Job! Question: Any photoshopping, HDR, post processing?
Re: photomacrography
hey thanks very much. in regards to post processing, it was taken in RAW so some minor exposure adjustment and of course sharpening in adobe camera eaw. i think that was it. Nathan

Re: photomacrographyFantastic shot Nathan, I particulary like the crop. Isn't it fabulous the way nature can be so dammed dog ugly and fascinatingly beautiful at the same time.
Come to think of it, I know someone who talks about his wife that way!?!
