this is an image i did for a photomacrography folio assignment at uni
used the sigma 105 for this. (1:1)

Image

here is a 100% crop to give you a better idea of the detail, it gets a bit lost in the resized image.

thanks for looking, any C&C as always much appreciated :)

This is fantastic and also gives major props for the Sigma 105 as well.

Clean Bokeh, Nice use of DOF to throw the rest of the moth OOF.
The 100% crop really shows how much detail you end up getting in the final product.
The hundreds of eyes are fantastic and quite sharp!

Great Job! :)

Question: Any photoshopping, HDR, post processing?

hey thanks very much.

in regards to post processing, it was taken in RAW so some minor exposure adjustment and of course sharpening in adobe camera eaw. i think that was it.

Fantastic shot Nathan, I particulary like the crop. Isn't it fabulous the way nature can be so dammed dog ugly and fascinatingly beautiful at the same time.
Come to think of it, I know someone who talks about his wife that way!?!
