YOSEMITE MK IIHere's a few more snaps from Yosemite earlier this month, using the Canon G9, a very capable performer. I was there around midday so the light wasn't great but it was still an amazing experience to visit this place.
These images are all small jpgs but I do have the raw files to muck around with when I get some more time. President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)

Re: YOSEMITE MK IIThanks Glen. I'm trying to figure out how to get the G9's raw files into CS1 for processing, I have an idea that I think will work, and should be able to bring out the colours a tad better than the small jpeg files.

Re: YOSEMITE MK IIOzi, how long were you at Yosemite and how may pics did you take? My wife and I are planning spending 8 days there next year personally guided by an old friend who lives near there and knows the place back to front. We'll be packing 2 x D300's + plenty of kit and can't wait.
The little G9 is a fabulous little camera isn't it? Did you sort out your raw files or still having probs?
Re: YOSEMITE MK IIWow...Yosemite lives up to it's name, even in midday sun!
Re: YOSEMITE MK II
RD, I was there for only a day. I would love to spend an extended time there. I have a good Aussie mate who lives in Fresno (one hour's drive away) so hopefully in the future we can do just that. Dawn and dusk would be outstanding for photography. 8 days? Man, am I envious. You will thoroughly enjoy yourselves. It is truly one of the great destinations of the world. Looking forward to seeing some of your photos when you return. As for the G9, yes, no problems there. I just convert the raw files to DNG, then open in CS1. Having said all that, I have just had printed a 30"x24" HDR photo taken with the G9 (5 x jpeg's). It is a sensational enlargement. Catchya, Ozi. Re: YOSEMITE MK III now need to impress upon my wife the absolute need for a 5D, at rock bottom prices...
