A few motorcross shots from todayA few from the Lakes Australian Rookie Series Motorcross that Keith and I attended today.
All taken with the 70-200/2.8. Was shooting mainly at 2.8 but now that I look through my photo's perhaps I should have been stopping down some as a LOT of the photos were not as sharp as I had hoped. I think that the AI SERVO autofocus struggled somewhat to keep up. What do you guys think of these? If you’re alone with your friend in the woods and a tiger’s chasing you, you don’t have to be faster than the tiger, you have to be faster than your friend.
Re: A few motorcross shots from todayPics look good , #4 doesnt do much though, Like you say a bit sharper or more colour would help maybe.

Re: A few motorcross shots from todayThe reason that I included #4 was because really I wanted to include some shots that are not just of a 'Bike in the sky' and try and compose an image with balanced ground elements and not just a stand alone Bike. I think I've achieved that in #4 with the diagonals of the tire walls and how he's using the groove, I was also thinking of perhaps cloning out the guy in the bottom right also.

Re: A few motorcross shots from todayRob
It is not as easy as some people make it look, I'm throwing away most of the shots I took As learning experience, I found that I still have lots to learn #3 looks like one of your flash shots and you managed to get better focus than I did from the same area posting a few of my ones now
