Some of my Moto-X shots from SundayMoto-X is a lot harder than it looks to photograph, the only time they move in a fluid predictable way is when they are well up in the air and even then every rider flew on a different arc that changed lap by lap
The lakes track is a good track but is surrounded buy a 8 foot hight fence that made it very difficult to find good backgrounds/angles to go with the action, next time I will take a 3 foot step ladder to get me high enough to shoot over the fence thereby opening up lots more options the track was dusty up the top and muddy down the bottom without the fence I could have shot from a lower angle to give more hight to the rider just trying to rescue an out of focus shot of a start
Re: Some of my Moto-X shots from SundayWow, plenty sharper than mine dang it.
Really top shots, and yeah, its really hard to get good shots there, I was quite surprised at my low level of keepers. I took about 250 shots from the day and ended up with about 30-40 that were just ok. Even those were not what I would call acceptably sharp... These are really great images Keith, Id be very happy with these! If you’re alone with your friend in the woods and a tiger’s chasing you, you don’t have to be faster than the tiger, you have to be faster than your friend.
Re: Some of my Moto-X shots from SundayNice, I like No 4.
