Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Pa,
I do not think the branch brings anything to the picture and, aside from the branch, the foreground is too dark.
Cheers,

I agree. Foreground seems a bit too contrasty with the branch which detracts from the nice sun rise..

Sorry Pa, I'd lose the branch too. It kinda wrecks the wild grass shadow foreground you've got going there.

........ mmmmmmm the branch is a bit too much of a distraction.......... have you tried cropping it out, say just below the reads so there is a thin line of dark and saturate up the green leaves a bit to give said image a lift......... but still a very nice capture

Pa
I have many shots of sun rise/set over water with grass in front. To be honest almost gets boring after a while

I LOVE THE TREE

it mixes it up, gives a different aspect, has another focal point, it is a tree that has a nice supporting sunset.

The tree makes this shot
whizzzz, there goes life again.....
But now captured on a Canon 40D with bits
