26-06-08 Flash mobHi guys, as Cameron noted in his earlier post, we went to get a few shots of this..
So, here they are: http://flickr.com/photos/julianws/sets/72157605809271194/ quite a few of these were salvaged from overexposed RAWs. dont know what was going on, every shot kept getting overexposed c&c would be appreciated -julian
Re: 26-06-08 Flash mobdid you check your exposure compensation>? also it might have been an incorrect metering mode used. If it's not either of those, then go out and take a few more test photos in an area with consistent lighting and see how you go.
I guess it's really one of those events where you had to be there to take in the experience as it's difficult to record with photos. Only suggestion I would make for the next time such an event should happen, is to use a slower shutter speed so you can capture the motion of the background people and show how still these people participating in it are. Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone
Come follow the rabbit hole...
Re: 26-06-08 Flash mobmate, you've got it spot on - i was using centre weighted in an attempt to work around the shadows cast by the midday sun through trees etc. Explains a lot! *smacks self* haha but nevertheless, RAW saved the day
thanks for pointing that out! -julian
