26-06-08 Flash mob

Hi guys, as Cameron noted in his earlier post, we went to get a few shots of this..
So, here they are:

quite a few of these were salvaged from overexposed RAWs. dont know what was going on, every shot kept getting overexposed :?

did you check your exposure compensation>? also it might have been an incorrect metering mode used. If it's not either of those, then go out and take a few more test photos in an area with consistent lighting and see how you go.

I guess it's really one of those events where you had to be there to take in the experience as it's difficult to record with photos. Only suggestion I would make for the next time such an event should happen, is to use a slower shutter speed so you can capture the motion of the background people and show how still these people participating in it are.

mate, you've got it spot on - i was using centre weighted in an attempt to work around the shadows cast by the midday sun through trees etc. Explains a lot! *smacks self* haha but nevertheless, RAW saved the day :)
