Dew on Grass, Sunrise and Macro Tubes - Again! For those who saw the first one of these and cared to comment - I went out this morning and reshot the photo. Major difference was the frost this morning which made for an entirely different effect and I backed off just a bit so the focus was on more than one drop. Worked better this time I think. As always CC welcome.
Re: Dew on Grass, Sunrise and Macro Tubes - Again!
I saw the first but had nothing worthwhile to contribute I really like this shot, there is alot going on, but with so much of the picture in focus i think it works. I also like all the reflections in the droplets as you look closer!.....well works for me anyway! what kind of reproduction ratio is it? gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Dew on Grass, Sunrise and Macro Tubes - Again![color=#804080]Wheels,
Congratulations on a superb picture. I saw the first attempt with the duck and was impressed with the result. Only being new to this passion we are wrapt up in I saw little techincally wrong with pic 1 until a few expert eyes commented and I saw wahat they were on about. Still if I had a result similar to that I would show the world. Picture two is again a stunning picture with so much going on and the level of detail is so much higher. Its like each dew drop hasa story to tell. Well done on a great result and keep the posts coming. Cheers hrpremier Guess What! ........I Have A Fever........And The Only Perscription........Is More Cowbell.
Re: Dew on Grass, Sunrise and Macro Tubes - Again!
Thanks mate. Reproduction ratio - um yeah. I've stuck a 36mm extension tube behind a 28-105mm lense with the lense zoomed in to 105mm. Not really sure how one would go about calculating the repro ratio on that?
Re: Dew on Grass, Sunrise and Macro Tubes - Again!Good one wheels ! Looks like Aladins cave with all the colour and reflection.
You seem to be getting close with your technique, which I assume was your main concern. My only comment is that this shot is very 'busy'. Maybe try something in between this one and the first one. I might get some Macro tubes to play with till I find the right Macro lens. Keep up the good work. trublubiker
Re: Dew on Grass, Sunrise and Macro Tubes - Again! Thanks Trublu. I'm trying to find the middle ground here without getting any of the shite relections I got in the first pic. Next frost I might just zoom in on one blade of grass. One drop was too close and several blades is just too much. Too windy this morning though, no frost or dew
Re: Dew on Grass, Sunrise and Macro Tubes - Again! So that's where diamonds come from? I like!
