I took all your friendly advice onto board and then went out with my highschool friends who are enjoying their 3rd year together. This is more uh...relationship photography

The full set can be found http://www.flickr.com/photos/dtang/sets/72157605957744863/

Please comment with relevance to my upcoming wedding gig. Equipment: D300, SB-800 and 50 f/1.4.

Some very nice images. The black and white on the last photo works well but my favourite two would be 2 & 3 as they appear to be more natural, rather than a setup shot. Good work.

Yeah nice stuff. #2 could possibly do with a refector basically from where you are standing to even the light on their faces up a bit. The last one is quite nice as well although maybe a tad noisy (unless that was your intention). What was your ISO set at for this one?

Jase: I saw the need to balance the lighting and employed fill flash instead of a reflector. When using a reflector, would it be silver or gold?

Wheels: 1600, although it's a 3200 T-Max simulation.

The last one was only lit by the streetlamp.

Very nice set. I really like no. 1 and 2. The portraits look very natural. The tones are great also.
