I was commissioned to attend a dog show last weekend and take some photos of the little mutleys

I was pretty happy with the results considering it's a looooong way from my comfort zone of shooting motorsport...

all shots with a 40D and 70-200 2.8 (NON IS) and are straight from the camera, just resized in ACDSee at 65% resolution..

The owners loved them, and have shown all the others in their club and want me to go back and shoot lots more for them... comments and suggestions appreciated...

#2 I think has captured the mutt really well and portrayed his inquisitive nature. Nice photo.

I like them.. The fact that your audience loved them says it all really! Keep it up..

Thanks for the comments,

#2 was just a lucky shot I think - I was standing about 3 Metres away as they were all standing around waiting for their next 'showing' and I just made a "meooow" noise as the dog looked my way.. she must have thought it was dinner time :p

That puppy is only about 8 mths old, so I think it's got a lot to do with the "what's that" look on it's face..

#2 is great, the dog looks like it's posing for you :)! I can never get my dog to look at me long enough to take a good snap, she always runs off when she sees my camera =/
