the first one doesn't really do anything for me... but I can see what you wanted to achieve and it looks good... how did this shot look in b&w?

I'm typically fonder of the shots from my cokebottle sigma than I am of the shots from my nikon kit lens. . . I'm wondering if the UV filter on my kit lens is spoiling the 'pop'
