A little something from Port Macquarie... not had much time behind the lens for quite sometime... so I'm sure to need quite a bit of fine tuning... anyways... here's a start... cheers, Michael.

Beautiful leading lines, cloud formation and composition with nice contrast!
My only criticism is the blown sky and water reflection, camera left.

Yep sure is blown !!!

Still trying to decide whether the blown sky and water needs attention or better left alone... sometimes it results in flattening the picture, losing dimension... and in a way, as it is, it's a more honest representation of what was.
Might have a play with the water and leave the sky as is perhaps. btw... like your website... looking good.

The blown areas are quite distracting, but aside from that, it's very nice

Let’s be honest, anytime we point a camera towards the sun we have to compromise between what is blown and what is not.

The trees, boring. The beacon,boring (although integral to the total image).

What is totally beautiful IMO are the railings and even more so than that, the shadow of the railings. Time and again my eyes are drawn to that shadow and without the sun being where it is, the shadow would not exist in that form.

So, in conclusion I find it totally acceptable to have the blown areas because they are the cause effect of the final composition

Agree with the shadows point. I feel like squatting down when I look at the pic and shooting again just to get more railings and shadow.
