Trawler Beached - Skipper lost at Sea

The Mooloolaba Trawler " Miss Melissa" was washed up in wild seas onto Mooloolaba Beach the night before last. The skipper had apparently gone overboard whilst two crew slept down below until they awoke when they hit the beach.
How they slept in the conditions, I have no idea.
Helicopters and Boats went out in an attempt to locate the skipper in an area from Mooloolaba north to Noosa but the search had to be called off due to the wild seas and strong winds.
Any attempts to refloat the vessel have also been foiled by the wild seas.
Meanwhile the Miss Melissa continues to pounded by waves on Mooloolaba's main surfing beach.
Heavy earthmoving equipment has been placed on the beach and is currently being used as an anchor to hold the vessel in position pending further rescue attempts.
