The Bird goes home to roost! Or so it appears. Actually, the little white spec just in front of the green wing tip light is another plane on final into the airfield. This shot taken at about 4500ft and about 6nms(10km.) north of the field. Portraiture's got to be easier than this!?!

That is one very nice shot - love the fact that the sky is nowhere to be seen.

Just one small point, how did you manage to get out of the plane to take the shot

Logically, Chris, he threw the camera out of the window, and with a remote shutter release, waited for the camera to be facing the plane. Obviously. :D

And it is a very fine shot - I couldn't imagine it would be that easy to take this well.
