Garage Studio Setup

Was just mucking around in the garage last night and was playing around with sample setups.

I think this is an excellent image and you've nailed the lighting really well. You also look heaps more relaxed here than you did in your earlier self portraits. I would however have liked to have seen your body turned just a touch more towards the camera and your head a little more so still so we saw all of your right eye and more of the right side of your face. Just a little niggle though and it has made for a great avatar as well.

Thanks stubbsy,

"the model" is turned more towards the camera left becasue the light is there. Any more away from the light there would be some bad shadows and no detail in my other eye. But in saying that i could have just moved the light!

Here is a quick setup shot... you can't see the fill light in the pic tho, and the light with the barn doors is the on giving off the green light, and the rim while it looks green is actually white.

Matty has a specialised range of alien bee gear that is suitable for underwater saltwater photography.... :lol:

yer it is alien bee lights - http://www.alienbees.com

and they are NOT suitable for underwater applications.... found that one out the hard way

I am with stubbsy. Just tilting the head a bit more towards the camera would make this a very good image. I like the background colour because it makes the subject stand out a bit more. It is a very good effort but keep practising.
