The Photographer & Her Subject

Been a while since I have had time to pick up the camera. Snapped these off this morning while playing with one of my strobes.

The morning sun is coming in from camera left and the strobe was directly beside the camera. I was deliberately trying to get the blown highlights and using the strobe to fill in the darker areas. I wanted this contrasty type of effect and am happy with what I have got.

f/5 @250 200 iso Lit mainly by the strobe, bit strong but it was the effect I wanted.

Must be a bit warmer up your way Craig - or Jen doesn't feel the cold! I think you've acheived what you set out to do. Like the composition too!

Thanks for the comments guys. Jen was in a great mood whilst waiting to get ready for work. Mood changed when she discovered she had lost her handbag the previous night. Dad went searching in some of the Montville shops later in the day and found it intact, good mood restored. :D

Its a bit colder up here on the hill and strange as it may seem she does feel the cold. No sense no feeling.

Great fun images Craig. I particularly like the second in terms of composition and treatment.
