A walk from Queenscliff to Shelly Beach - Dusk

I finally got some 'spare' time and took the camera for a walk along Manly Beach, around to Shelly Beach. Here's some I took along the way. With the sun going down fast, these were all handheld with the ISO bumped up a bit (with the D200). Next time I'll take the tripod!

It's been a while since I've posted any images, so of course as usual criticism welcomed:

I just adore this part of the world and wish I had some more time to explore/photograph it!

Geoff, these are great. I love that walk as well - we went for a walk and shot some Velvia (show you tomorrow on the light box).

The first has a very European feel to it - not sure why or how to explain it. The light just creates a serene atmosphere. The pool shots are really good.

Thanks Patrick,
Looking forward to seeing your velvia shots!
I'm processing these on the (old now) laptop, so it's pretty time consuming hehe.
I'll post part two in the next little while.

That last one is a ripper, straight away caught my eye, impressive for handheld too...coming from me with way too much coffee and shaky hands anyways!.....

Shelly beach is the home to some rare weedy sea dragons - or so I was informed when I did one of my first scuba dives there a month or so ago.....

but.. yep.. that last one really connects with me nice one

Geoff - love #2 the PP really works the shot nicely. I also like the symmetry of #4
