A bouquet of CarminesI quite like the 3D effect and framing on this one (apart from the lower cut tail tip), interested to know what others think?

Re: A bouquet of CarminesMarc, what a beautiful image, the Carmines themselves must take some credit for the arrangement. My ignorance shows here, I opened your post expecting to see a pile of Improvised Explosive Devices.

Re: A bouquet of CarminesLovely composition and colours. Well done!
Re: A bouquet of Carminesgreat shot
if you are worried about the cut off tail you could just clone out the very tip so it looks like it finishes inside the frame, I don't think anyone would be the wiser given the length of the tail
Re: A bouquet of CarminesI saw this NSN but didn't realise it was from one of the DSLRUsers members. Nice shot, wouldn't worry too much about the cropped off tail - it's a great shot regardless.

Thanks Keith and everyone for the positive comments. Was aware that it can be done, just that I should have composed better. Cheers Marc D4|D3S|D700+MB-D10| 14-24 |24-70|70-200 f/2.8 VRII|70-200 f/4 VR|80-400 AF-S|500VR|Sigma 150 f/2.8 macro|TC's 1.4,1.7E & 2.0III|SB 900
