I love #3, nice angle and your buddy (assumed) in the corner adds to it :D

the last one is also very nice but, tsk, tsk on touching the coral.

Having recently dived off Port Douglas with just a ordinary throwaway camera I appreciate the effort one must go to get nice images like these, definitely not as easy at it looks

Doug,

1) Great separation of the fish and background.

2) Nice shot of a great looking fish. Is that at Steve's? I didn't see any weedys on this trip. :(

3 & 4) Ah... I recognise The Pulpit at North Horn. Both shots have great colour and good strobe coverage. Are they cropped at all? What strobe(s) are you using?

Thanks guys.
1) AJT do you have a name for this one? something common and unimpressive I imagine, but I like the separation too!

2) is at Jaynem's Wall (within a half hour of Steve's. It is called a weedy scorpion fish then? OK)

3 & 4 ) Not cropped at all, hence the softness at the edges. I have a +2 diopter on it, I think I need a +4 which I have now bought but have not tried yet. 3 was at 12mm and 4 was at 10mm. Strobe was a single ikelite DS-125.

1) White-belly damsel, Amblygyphidodon leucogaster.

2). D'oh. It is indeed a leaf scorpionfish, Taenianotus triacanthus. (The 'flu is playing havoc with my brain).

3&4) That is very impressive for a single DS125. The coverage must be more than Ikelite claim. I too found good coverage with 2 x DS125 with my 12-24mm at 12mm. With the +4 I was able to get a lot closer.
