Had a great holiday in Bali- not as many photo ops as I'd hoped, but with a 2yo you cant expect to roam all over the country every day!

Heres a few nature type shots, the monkey is at a cliff temple (Ulu Watu), the tree is backdropped by a volcano steam not fog (Mt Batur), and the rice terraces are from somewhere just east of UBud.

Nice pictures, I like the 3rd one particularly. The curving terraces following the contours of the slope let my eyes wander all around the frame, they become sort of mezmerizing. Since the sky is so bright, I wonder if it would have been better to compose the photo a tad lower and leave out the sky altogether?

I did think of a pano crop losing the sky and some foreground- not sure. I had preconceived idea in my head (and from images on the net) of some rice terraces- these ones were nicely stepped but not as deep as I'd hoped. It was amazing even out there as soon as you stop people are running up to hassle you to buy their crap!
