Some shots from a mate's gig last night.

Lighting was ridiculously low, all taken with D70 + 50mm @ f1.8 @ ISO1600

Please let me know what you think.

Hi Beej great framing on 1st and last shot but alas likr me you need to consider D300/D700 to grab great shots in this low light.I too have screwwed everthing out of my canon 30D to get avverave quality shots from gigs keep trying--jim

I like the second and the third. The third looks a bit desaturated and that appeals to me.

Thanks for those comments.

Inmotion, I'm over pushing my D70 to it's limits, and I'm over taking gig shots with a 50mm f1.8 @ ISO1600. The only thing I can work on is my composition and my editing. Looking back on all my gig shots over the years, they all have the same bokeh (f1.8), noise (D70's ISO1600) and movement (slow shutters).

And I just bought my first house, so there goes my chance of affording a new body or glass.
