WE08 Entry (At Last!) - Mr Darcy

Even with the deadline extended, I struggled to get this done in time.
Anyway, Here goes

Critique is more than welcome. Post it here.

Anyway, my entries:

Theme 1: ... communication. I had another one, but I realised I took it about 6 hours to early to qualify :(

Theme 2: ... flower - there is only one :)

Theme 3: ... culture - Viti-culture specifically :P

Theme 4: ... natural pattern. This is the one that delayed me. I Waited for the rain to stop.

I like the letter boxes, would prefer them to all in focus.

Great selection of pictures here. The colours are nice and bright in Flower.

I'm trying to work out the lighting on your natural pattern pic. The background is essentially black, because without the flash, the pic would have been massively under exposed...? Is that it, or is there a nicely placed backdrop there?!

Lighting used flash (2xSB800 + PopUp) to overpower the daylight in the background. The flashes were 50 - 100mm from the subject. No backdrop. There is actually a pond in the background ( and a wall behind the camera). That made it difficult to set up the shot, hence the slightly awkward angle.
