So I found this photo from an old meet in 2006.
I've added noise, selectively coloured only a piece of the image and played with the levels a bit.
Thoughts?

To be honest I don't think the selective colour works. Not with the railing in front of the little shack... I don't think it would look good desaturated nor am I sure how the whole railing would look in colour...

I was also going to suggest the whole railing in colour to see if that worked as its not doing it for me at the moment.. maybe a slight desaturation of the background rather than a total desat... I'd also maybe crop some of the foreground and a little off the right hand side..

I would crop most of the foreground out of this one. You want to keep the fence, and all that's directly associated with it. The rocks that support the fence and jetty stay; but the rocks to the left, in the foreground, should go.
