Facing the mob

Finally got a sunny day in Taranaki last week, dusted off my old (in fact new) 50mm F1.4 and off I went a-driving. I was faced with a huge herd of mean looking calves. (I actually thought I was back in Oz - they were just a lobby group looking for a handout.)

Anyway, here's few straight from the camera, just cropped.

Oh wow... how sharp is that lens!!!! I bought the 50mm 1.8 and while I adore it I'm sorry I didn't wait for the 1.4 now.. (they didn't have any in stock)..

I was drawn to the second one straight away and I keep on going back to it.. the others are also great (specially the first) but number 2 has my vote! :)

Thanks Bindii and Catcha, I literally got the last minute of sunlight on the 2nd shot before the light went out. And that's saying something for NZ. Any sunlight is a remarkable thing over here...

Sue, you will love the 1.4 when/if you get one. It is my only travel lens at the moment, and I am blown away by the colours it produces.
