Stars of the sea

Here are some more shots from my recent trip. This time sea stars. All shot with a D300 with various lenses.

Sea star, Gomophia egyptiaca, 13.2 metres at Osprey Reef (Tokina 12-24mm with +2 diopter in dome port).

Andrew the clarity of these is amazing, do you use some sort of flash?

Glen,

I typically use two strobes, one on each side of the rig, and did in all three photos.

Andrew that sort of clarity through a column of water is really something.

I love this stuff Andrew.
The white tips in the first appear to be over exposed on my monitor, is this the case?
I have the same issue regularly with white flowers and mixed backgrounds.

Colin,

Perhaps, a tad. I have just applied some recovery and decreased the exposure a bit. Hopefully it is better now.
