Featherdale first-timer

i quite enjoyed it there. very busy though.
all with 300/4. sun was a bit of an issue today...but it sure was nice out.

The egrets (first 2) are superb, with the second one edging out the first because of the less distracting background (not that the background in the first is that bad).

The first crane doesn't work for me because of the out of focus beak. I like the second a lot more.

this may be a stupid question but is the orangey stuff on the birds head still classified as feathers cos it looks a shitload more like hair/ fur.

Feathers. It is the breeding plumage.

#2 is wonderfully simple which makes for really strong image. Good to see you enoyed the place as well.
