Wakeboarding

Hi All,
I went out wakeboarding a couple of weeks ago and snapped a few pics. I had a bit of trouble getting the focus right. I had the camera on both AF-S and AF-C (with C the wake kept getting the focus). I had it on Shutter priority and tried a few different settings. I was disappointed by the softness and the focus of the pictures. I used my Tamron 28-300, which would probably explain why!
Anyway, any comments on how to improve the pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Marvin

LOL I do go on the board but it has to be very hot for me to get in the water. I had a go that day but can barely get over the wake!! I am much better at skiing and kneeboarding! Besides that, no other bugger is going to touch my D70 in a boat!

Thanks sirhc55 but they actually seem to look better on the converted jpg than on the NEF in terms of sharpness. When I look at the originals I notice that they seem a bit out of focus. I have done no PP at all on these so I'm not sure why this would be. The jpgs look quite washed out though compared to the originals. I think this has been discussed in another thread though!

Martian Marvin,

Great work mate, I really like the 5th one, the 300mm Tam is not world class but can produce great stuff, it's the photographer not the equipment that counts!

Keep on posting,

Max
