Well while in Brisbane decided to grab a few images I've wanted for a while.Shorncliffe Pier.

Left my tripod mount on another camera,So resting the camera on the ground..I would loved a higher perspective but could not hand hold that long.

I think your lower perspective is quite good, I really like the nice symmetrical lines generated by the boards and the railings.... perfectly level too...

taking a second look... even a centre portrait crop might give it something extra? just a thought...

Matt

I think this is great as it is. The low perspective is fine and I think the shot is made even stronger with the starburst of light from the globes on the pier.

:agree: leaving the tripod mount on the other camera has worked in your favour. I love the colours and the parallel lines

Love it! Personally I would get rid of the itsy bitsy flare in the bottom of the image....

I really like the low perspective. After seeing a few photos that my friend took at the beach, I've been trying to get my camera low over the last few months. I've fallen in love with the unusual perspective, and have found that almost any ordinary subject can make a striking photograph when shot from near the ground.

Nice, I love this kinda thing from a lower level, really adds to the shot.
