Damo and I did a quick trip up to Rainbow Beach last night to look for the Cooloola sedge frog, Litoria cooloolensis, and yep, we found em :)

Rel,

Great images of a beautiful species of frog. Were these taken with the D700?

Thanks guys - and yes Andrew, with the D700 :)
I was standing in the lake up to my waist at one point, and didn't really think about it .. just kept on taking photos LOL - looking back now, I think maybe that was a tad foolish ;) LOL ;)

Rel you have done it again, been up and no contact. These are nice but I am wondering why you were worried about standing in the lake. Nothing in the water to harm you, or were you worried about your gear? :D

It is good when the results of planning pay off. You have awakened my interest.

Thanks Darren :) I was pleased with how they turned out :)

John - don't get cranky on me ;) - was a quick quick trip - up, booked into a motel at Rainbow Beach, dumped the gear and headed out to wait for nightfall, stayed out until 10pm, went back fell asleep, got up the next morning, fluffed around for around an hour and then straight back home to work LOL :)

As for the standing in the water - wasn't what was alive in the water - rather what was dead in the water - old branches which I have a great habit of tripping over when I'm in deepish water which wouldn't have gone down terribly well with the gear ;) LOL I am a clumsy bugger you know ;) Just ask Damo - he and his dad have stood there laughing at me when I was carrying camera gear, trapping gear and went to step over a fallen log - only to fall backwards over the log and be stuck on my back with my legs in the air looking for all the world like a turtle !!!! LOL ;)

You are braver than me Rel, wading into water in the dead of night! Fantastic captures, I envy your skill.
