I made the mistake of going in the morning, just as the first school bus arrived & then the blue rinse brigade turned up just behind them

I prefer #1 over #2 because the direction of flight is into the sunset, however I prefer the position of the wings in #2!
I think if you straighten #1 it will be a cracker.....(make horizon level and pole perpendicular)
The composition in #4 is perfect, I took 3 or 4 pictures of this but you have definitely captured the lines in a better form. it really looks like the object on the left is suspended in air. The hint of red of the anodized surface tops it off, nice one!
