I took another excursion up to Katoomba whilst playing tourist, showing around my visiting cousin, but here are a few of the shots I nabbed whilst up there

So why didn't you drop in and visit?
Nice work. I like them as is but...
#1 perhaps a pano crop just above the fluffy clouds
#2 a bit too blown in the TRHS, but I know how hard it is to avoid this. Perhaps a HDR?
#3 Love it, but it doesn't say "Blue Foothills" to me. It works as part of the montage though.
#4 Shame the focus is not on the rock under the ladybird, or not on the rock at all

Come to think of it I should have!! Next time I am heading up that way I'll let you know and maybe we can organise a time to drop by.

I'll give them a go when I get home tonight (I really should start working on the intro for my thesis)
#1 pano crop sounds like it will work...will do later
#2 I agree, no shots for HDR (no tripod used either) but I'll see if I can get anything out of that top RHS with a dodge
#4 I think I may crop in on it a little (once again hand held, this time with the Sigma 180mm)

Do you have the second one in RAW or another exposure... It is a great shot but the blown top corner is a little distracting... Would come up great with some HDR or some grading of the exposure in PP...

14-bit RAW!! I should be able to get something back out of that corner. All the images here are not PP'd.

As promised, here are a few reworked images (shame about that top right corner, there is nothing there to retrieve, I tried pretty hard!!)

Pano crop!!! I like it

Retouched top right corner, less blown out but there is nothing in that white patch (not happy)

Closer crop
