Scotty,
That is an amazing storm cell/formation of clouds behind you.
I like this shot but the expression on your face has me bewildered...I've come back to it a few times and wonder 'what is he thinking'...is it;

1. Did I change the ISO accordingly??
2. Whoa..it's about to take the shot...quick..smile..no.don't smile...err...(click)..
3. Geeze that tripod's a beauty...
4. Here I am..how lucky am I? I love this job..what a cloud/storm.
5. Wonder if I'll be posting this on dslrusers...

As a 'self' portrait, at least on my monitor your face seems to be slightly OOF/soft..some gentle PPing MAY help improve this. The exposure on the whitest of the lighter clouds seems spot on with minimal/no blown highlights yet your face seems to have a tad of fill flash..nicely excuted.

I find the tower over your left shoulder a little distracting but it helps tell the story of where you are and what you're doing and I guess if you cloned it out the picture wouldn't be as 'interesting'.

I love how the sun has started to peep through the clouds bottom left, a lovely contrast to cloud over your far left shoulder.

So tell us mate...WHAT were you thinking as the camera went 'click'? :) I'm intrigued!

I would also take off the unsightly rifle that you are carrying on your shoulder :D

hehe... Mainly 4... this was an amazing storm... (there will be even MORE photos coming)

Yeah... in retrospect I should have used me as a focus rather than the formation... I will play with some selective un-sharping...

And I will give a go at removing the coms tower...

Don't.

I think it looks great, slung over your shoulder as it currently is, as though its a new type of assault rifle.

I love the tower - it just seems to make you look really really really big and tall and veyr imposing in a very friendly way ofcourse... for some reason made me think of Gulliver's Travels (the parts when he is a giant) :D
