Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Ebb and FlowOk so its been a while since i posted. Major life issues getting in the way. Back now though.
Let me just say that the Dandynong Ranges in Melbourne is perhaps the most annoying place I have ever been to take photographs. Signage is crap, I spent 2 hours driving around it circles (and getting car sick at the same time) before I finally managed to get where I wanted to go. "Sherbrook Falls". I don't know who decided on the name, but dude a 2 foot drop and a trickle of water over a single rock does not represent a "Water Fall". It got to the stage that I wanted to punch some poor bastard in the face I was that annoyed. Not really the best state of mind in which to take photographs... at least not my style of photographs. Anyway here is one. A pinhole image of a stream. As usual click on the image for the larger on black image. I hill include a second image here as well as a comparison. The second one is with a lens and while I would normally lean towards the Pinhole, I think the lensed version is a far better image overall.
Re: Ebb and Flow that the lensed version is better. They have a surreal feel to them.
Re: Ebb and FlowI should mention that I was being sarcastic about the "mighty" Sherbrook Falls.
