Fashion Shoot - 25 outfits in 3 hoursHello all,
want to share some of my work for comment and feedback, these are not for portraiture, but to showcase the women's clothing. my brief for this shoot was 5-6 outfits, simple consistent lighting and background, and 3 hours to shoot. only change on game day was that we had 25 outfits to shoot, and the same time to shoot them, so as you can imagine, we had to shoot fast, with about 7 minutes for each outfit, that had to include the model changing. client was very pleased, and I am happy with the results given the constraints. whaddyathink? thanks in advance Bruce #1 #2 #3 #4 others here... http://www.pbase.com/oz_beachside/utopia_couture
Re: Fashion Shoot - 25 outfits in 3 hoursHey mate
last one is the best IMHO but it appears soft? Pose is spot on Dan
Re: Fashion Shoot - 25 outfits in 3 hoursI like the pose in #3. The dress seems a little to white/bright on my monitor though.
Nice work. Regards Colin Regards Colin

Re: Fashion Shoot - 25 outfits in 3 hoursI also like the last shot but would love to see some heavy airbrush work done on the ladies right hip bone

Re: Fashion Shoot - 25 outfits in 3 hours
hi, can you elaborate? do you mean push it in?
Re: Fashion Shoot - 25 outfits in 3 hours
thanks colin, yeah, I pushed it a little too much, its 1/2 a stop too bright in my opinion, but I liked the skin tones...
Re: Fashion Shoot - 25 outfits in 3 hourshi
i like the 2nd one best if this is for a lookbook the minimum guidlines to follow is full length to show the full styled look from head to shoes you probably have taken these pics but didnt post them also not sure about the 1st one its great theres some rollplaying there but its shot on an 'angle' which doesnt contribute anything to the shot the image doesnt need this tilt to make it interesting lighting is good and flat shows maximum detail as for your timing your good if you can shoot this within 3 minutes i have shot lookbooks within 3 minutes for each look and i think it's very annoying especially if the client expects a best shot possible best Wendell Levi Teodoro

Re: Fashion Shoot - 25 outfits in 3 hours
Her right hip looks ugly due to the way she is standing. What I’m saying is remove the bulge to slim her hips down to match her left hand side. For years and years it was the responsibility of airbrush artists to rework fashion and glamour shots to make the female form more acceptable. Only a suggestion Chris

Re: Fashion Shoot - 25 outfits in 3 hoursHi Bruce, like 1 & 2, big fan of 3, think the pose is very fresh though would probably prefer to see the top of her head.. I agree with Chris, I don't like the pose on 4 at all, it looks like the before for Jenny Craig or a liposuction place. The straightness of line down her left side means the right side doesn't balance it at all. A slight curve on the left side would make the right seem like womanly curves rather than something else. The pose works for me on the top half of her body.

Re: Fashion Shoot - 25 outfits in 3 hours
wow, thanks for spelling it out. I didnt see it, I guess because I shot it, I know she has a very healthy body, but i now understand what your eyes are seeing.
Re: Fashion Shoot - 25 outfits in 3 hoursI like your work, especially #2&3.
I agree with Glen on #3 - just need the top of her head in the pic..... that irks me. #4 - is too unsymmetrical, hips are not a triangle pushed out to one side.... if she was standing fairly straight, but the pose the same it would look really great I am imagining. But for your constraints of time - it shows your skill (and that of the model too with poses/taking instruction). As you say, 7 minutes, to change, shoot and adjust hairstyles..... Old D200+extras
