Porsche Track Day Mallala

Went to Mallalla racetrack a few weeks ago now, and thought I'd share some of the photos I took there. It was a Porsche trackday so plenty of 911's, RS's and there was even a "Westfield" which was very fast, made the Porsches look like they were standing still! Taken mainly with Canon 1d MKII + 300 f/2.8 and a few with 450D + 100-400L.
Thanks for looking!

Hmmmm ....

Mini Cooper, Contessa mags ....

A real Mini, not like these so-called BMW fakes.

But Porsche and fast ??? No ..........

Hi all, thanks for your feedback. Yeah the mini did look a little out of place tearing round the track after the Porches:)

I just spent the weekend shooting the same mini at the Legend of the Lakes hillclimb in Mt Gambier.. It gets along quite nicely.

Photos are nice, panning is great, but they are all a bit high (Overhead) for me, were you up on the grass or the stand?
Mallala is a down by the wall shooting track, they are usually pretty easy to get creds for as well to get access down there.

Hi team piggy, thanks for the feedback. I was shooting a combination of ground level and also in the stands. I think from memory most of these were in the stands. I like the low angle as well, the problem with Mallala though is there alot of messy signs, fence posts and junk in the background. So I prefer to go a little higher and only inlcude the track or grass in the shot. That way it keeps the backgrounds cleaner and free of distractions.
