Hey guys,
Just one share from a recent wedding:
I''d seen this tree lit up with fairy lights as I left an earlier wedding I had shot at the same venue. I thought to myself I have to get my next bride and groom in under this tree and get some photos when its dark. So I did! My wife is crouching down behind them using a video light to spill light back into the camera and give them a rim-light. Camera is tripod mounted.
More from this wedding at the top of my blog

UPDATE: CHANGED TO FLICKR HOSTED IMAGE.

I get the same results as Geoff. No image + forbidden
BUT if I go to your base site (.com.au) then click on blog, I get there.
So it seems to be a problem linking from here.
Nice image

It's a miracle! I can see!
And a bloody nice image too. Are you able to wrangle just a little more detail from the shadow areas of the b+g?

Absolutely stunning. I don't think you need to try and pull any more shadow detail, the blacks are good as they are.
My only real complaint is the bride's train, it leads to the bottom left. perhaps if you put the bride and groom more to the right it would avoid that leading problem and give it a sense of space.
Great shot, and I wish i could do stuff like that soon.
How different is a video light to a strobe or other form or artificial light when it comes to on location work like that?
