I like it. Simple, yet still effective. It does have a "this is my land" feeling but then that's probably because you told us it was your land. :?

Great original shot mate,

there is something in this that brings me back to the core of what I want to impart with my shots, The less is more approach.

Well done

I may have got the bright piece of something in the bottom left of the shot away from the composition and had a look in a sepia tone to see if I could make it look a bit droughtish, just an idea though

You have me thinking

Excellent shot. Did you place the grass in front of the post or was it already there?

firstyly: lovely shot! I like how the grass is accented against the rough dark texture of the post, then the post isolated by your DOF!

i find the two white (pipes?) to the left of the post a little distracting...

you might want to also try shooting the same shot or similar at a different time of the day, where I am we also have posts etc which give a great country feel, and when the sun is starting to go down, basks them in a glorious golden orange warm glow... my favoured time for shooting!

keep up the great work!

JD

This I really like, simple country feel... Would be keen to see a version with the backround "less green" to give a feeling of a harsher dry environment... Like simple country scenes like this...

Cheers

Errr... TC? Not red enough, not dry enough (only 2 days of rain this year) and not rocky enough. Nice pic though.

Cheers :D
