Love the concept, but the flow of water gets lost in the background. I can't help but think that some selective lighting is called for here to provide some separation, but I'm not quite sure how I might approach this. Perhaps flash with a snoot from behind and to one side?
Another approach might be to take a variation on the landscape/waterfall shots that we see so often: mount the camera on a tripod, and set your exposure to 1/4 second of something and let the waterflow become a more dominant feature.
