hello everyone, this is a pic of mine that i took last weekend on a drive with my family, please tell me what you think. I am thinking of getting it processed....canvas or print.....what sizes would you suggest.....i have to say i am quite proud of this shot.....i tried to get a shot that represented the drought a lot of australia is in.....be nice!! but honest! thanks everyone.

I like it. The concept has been well executed, taking shots out of a moving car difficult (I am guessing that is how you got all that motion blur) but it in this case it has worked. It does however start to look more like a painting than a photo.

Coming from you says a lot....i think the motion blurr of it is what makes it look like a painting, do u think its worthwhile getting devaloped? what size would u recomend? thanks for the nice comments.

I like it, but would rather see the horizon level and the colours a little less blue.

I dont think my opinion is worth any more than anyone else on this forum, but I am glad that someone thinks my opinion is worthwhile. I would say get it printed, start with a 5x7 (heaps nicer than a 6x4 and usually not that more expensive) and if you like the result then get it done in something bigger, (8x10 or 8x12 - common sizes).

aim54x....will certainly devalop it today 5x7 and then if its come out good, i'll go a 8x12 to see how it looks bigger. thanks.

going with the painting idea, I would go canvas - go as big as you want to spend! with a shot like that you can really milk the size up more than the resolution of the cam with a canvas print.

maybe crop just a little to make it a pano style would be my only suggestion

let us know how it goes at the printing and what it finally looks like!

That is another great idea, but I would personally wait and see what they turn out like on paper (Canvas gets expensive!!)

wow great job biggery! i got my two versions printed, although before i did i made the tree a bit bolder, just a focal point. After seeing both of my versions printed, the original colours looked better printed but i might have another go, i just found it was to orangey in the printed version, so i might burn it instead of warming the entire image. Will post it once i've done it to see what you all think.....really appreciate everyones advice. been very helpful!

I had a few looks at this artsy picture and like it overall. However each time I look at it, I want to remove the black blob in the middle (a tree?). Hmm... I think I am fixating on the wrong part of the image... Not sure.
