Dream Sequence

This composite is loosely based on the movie ”What Dreams May Come” and is a composite of three pics. #1 is the tombstone with the background given the liquify treatment. Added to this on another layer are the two models of the children in black and white. The third image is of the young girl on the tombstone itself - reduced to fit, opacity reduced and a wind filter added for an aging effect. I know that the whole may appear a little macabre but I believe it also shows that even in sadness we are surround by a vibrant world.

Comments welcome - and yes I will place myself in an asylum very soon :?

Chris

I see the movie connection and the image appeals, but the children's heads look weird & I keep wanting to zoom in to make sense of them. Maybe a link to a larger post.

Looking at this and having seen your "professional" shots I'm guessing you got lots of pleasure doing something more abstract & arty.

Thanks Peter - yes I do like playing around when waiting for client work to come in. The reason the childrens heads are funny is because they are not real - just dummies

Very interesting Chris, I like many components of it. Reminds me of the sixties and seventies posters, think I even had a few like that. 8)

Chris... I'm going to be as honest as I possibly can... I thought the movie sucked and I don't think much differently about the image. Nice idea... I just don't think it's too great an image.

Hi Chris

I don't know anything about the movie, so the theme is a mystery to me.

But I can see you've put a lot of thought and effort into doing something outside the square - most of us find that ough.
Well done. :)

Neon - I lived in Shaftesbury Avenue in 1963 and Carnaby Street was my hang out - along with Soho - well picked
