While Matt K demonstrates his world class photographic capabilities to the members of the dslrusers.com forum.

Matt, these are simply the best work that I've ever seen you produce. And that is really saying something given the high standards that you always come up with.

We're not worthy, we're not worthy

Holy $%^&, These are by far the best I have seen from you!

We definitely are not worthy!

These are screaming to be printed in Silver halide thingees and displayed in very large format in an exhibition!

Picture of the year ???

The longer I look the more I like - especially 2 and 4 - very evocative.
Well done.

Not much more to say, other than you should be proud. I think Mr Cappa would be impressed as well. (R more so than C).

Alicia gave me a book for Christmas last year on Magnum photographers (unfortunately not including Salgado) - a great book and weapon (given its size).

Don't you hate it when you point out someone's error with an error of your own? :P

Nice pickup Chris! I must have confused it with 'cuppa'. A freudian slop. :D :D :D :D
Patrick...Magnum is a favourite topic of mine and one I have long studied over many years. The organisation still intrigues me.

Matt. Well done on capturing some fantasic images. As previously mentioned I think number 4 in the standout. You have managed to demonstrate the drama and surroundings of the topic supurbly. Well done on a great series.

Having never shot a gun before or been involved with the forces is it common practice for a wounded soilder to continue carrying his weapon whilst being strechered off to saftey and having it pointed at the two rescuers in front whilst the hand resting on the area the trigger is located.

Just an observation. LOL

Nice work

Jase,

That's probably not his weapon. He's carrying this for one of the stretcher bearers. :)

Last one is brilliant and a cut above an already awesome bunch IMO. Thanks Matt for continuing to share you knowledge, talent and photos with us!

A medivac under fire....the soldier has a leg wound and is probably lucid and conscious...his finger is outside the trigger guard...if the stretcher bearers come under fire then I guess it's all bums on the ground and return fire.
But you make a good point and one I'm sure the soldiers get well drilled on.

Terrifically emotive images Matt. #4, with the risk of sounding repetitive, is superb. War correspondent material and feel. :)
