Hi,

Matt, Josh, Lance and I made a quick trip to Currumbin (QLD on the Gold Coast) last weekend. We arrived right on high tide ;)

Bird on the rocks.

Taking the perfect shot (subject is Brad).

The rock pool.

All three shots are HDR images processed usinig Photomatrix, Photoshop 6.0 and Lightroom 2.0

This is a fantastic place and I can't believe we haven't been here before, a re-visit is planned for early Jan 09.
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone.

Enjoy.

Whilst I realise that these are very early morning they appear overly dark on my monitor.

Thanks all.

Almost all shots are 3 exposures, usually 2 down, correct and 2 up.

Blended in PhotoMatrix.

I also use Photoshop 6.0 and LR2

In some cases a small amount of PP is done on each RAW file before the HDR workflow.

Usually convert each image to 'auto' WB, depending on the shot, a use the PS soft light layer tool a bit.

Coolour and saturation correcting also.

Talk soon.

good work they look amazing :D
i assume your use auto exposure bracketing
any tips? because ive sort of toyed around with hdr but never got anything to look as good as this, mine allways end up looking animated or completely not real
